Ms. Andrea Love
Materials Engineering, Purdue
Class of 2016
Project: Investigation of structure-property relationships of carbopol hydrogels
Bio: Growing up, I experienced how passionate my father was about his career as a civil engineer, so my interest in the engineering field was peaked early on. I was raised in Downers Grove, IL and attended Downers Grove North High School where I enrolled in mainly science, math, and technology-based courses. Upon attending Purdue University, I originally planned to study Chemical Engineering, but once I became better informed about all of the disciplines that Purdue has to offer, I realized that Materials Science Engineering would better accommodate my interest in working with soft materials. I am a currently a sophomore at Purdue and am involved in the American Foundry Society, Concrete Canoe Club, and individual research, all of which I hope will benefit my future as an engineer.
